Ritual bread preserves our collective memory, acting as an enduring bridge between our transient earthly existence and our yearning for eternal life. It remains humanity’s constant companion from birth to the grave.. With this publication, we invite you to explore through the unique lens of bread the remarkably vibrant richness of the cultures coexisting in Vojvodina, a heritage magnificent in its scope. To bring this project to life, we turned to the dedicated women of small rural communities, the true guardians of our customs and traditions. They have lovingly prepared the ritual breads and pastries made throughout the year to mark specific dates and milestones for their households, relatives, friends, and neighbors.
